Some of my personnal favorite wads: Sunder: too hard for me, but the level design is one of the, if not the most well thought of all the slaughter wads I know. Easily one of the hardest wads existing (by hardest, I also mean "humanly playable"). Speed Of Doom: very hard, but great variety of maps, and very well designed.SlayeR is an episode WAD designed by Richard Wiles that was released in October 2001. Feels classic but modern, like it fell out of a parallel universe where Doom II did have a shareware episode, just one that was bigger and more challenging. There's still stuff I need to check out too, like Morior Invictus which looks like a really cool vintage-style vanilla megawad, and Liminal Doom, among others. I think there will be many ...That's all I can list, as for wads I don't like, I have a few that I despise and I'm going to list some of these. 1. Psychophobia (has long maps that are hard with headache inducing visuals, looks like they took stuff from aeons of death). 2. Any wad on the top 10 infamous wads list. 3. All of the wads on Maximum Doom. 4.In my opinion eternal has 10x better gameplay, but 2016 has what better emersion. I felt like the doom slayer, rather than playing as him. The hud and small details and the less cartoony feel made the game more realistic tbh. I still prefer eternal, but 2016 felt more deserving of a name such as DOOM.
