Maytag dryer says check lint screen and won

Mar 24, 2020 · 24 hours. I removed the lint screen, saw that the gasket was partially a loose and put it back into place, then replaced it. The drying cycle will not resume. I've turn the dryer off then tried to restart a new cycle, but the check lint screen light comes back on and the cycle will not restart.

Hello! I have a Maytag dryer Model #MED3500FW1. Today the "Check Lint Screen" light went on and the dryer stopped. I removed and replaced the dryer vent hose and cleaned out all the lint where it attached to the outside wall. I also did a hard reset, unplugging the unit for 5 minutes. The light is still on and the dryer won't work.When closing the dryer door. The dryer light goes out. I press the power on. The Starr switch led's are all normal excep, there is a red led (lint screen) is on. I open the door, take the lint screen out, screen is clean. Reinstall lint screen, close dryer door, red lint screen light is still on. If the screen is clean then I'd check the vent hose behind the dryer and also make sure it's clear all the way to the outside. Most of the times the blockage is in the outside vent diffuser.Make sure both fuses are intact and tight, or that either circuit breaker has not tripped. You can test the breaker by turning the breaker off and then back on. Replace the fuse (s) or reset the circuit breaker (s). If the problem continues, call an electrician. Gas dryers only use 1 fuse or circuit breaker, but the same information applies.
