Namely, Monitors. Are PD support frigates viable past the early game? I tend to cut PD whenever I need OP on my capitals and figured I could substitute with smaller ships. Monitors seem like the obvious choice for this given their built-in Flaks and Fortress Shields. Does anyone have experience with this? Playing on vanilla.
